CB Homes is an A1+ Member of the National House Building Council (NHBC), as well as a member of the Federation of Master Builders. Every CB Homes development is backed by the NHBC 10-year Buildmark Warranty, meaning NHBC inspectors visit building sites at key stages to check compliance with its Technical Standards. While the total length of the warranty is 10 years, the first two years are covered by both the builder’s and NHBC’s warranty.

The day you receive the keys to your new home is an exciting time, and we’ll make sure everything is as you would expect it to be. Prior to handover, your dedicated Site Manager will inspect the house against a detailed checklist, identifying any last-minute items that need attending to. On the day of the handover, you will receive a comprehensive handover manual that contains information about the house, like the appliance manuals, warranties, and certificates. Your Site Manager will also be on-hand to walk you round and show you how things work, like the heating and alarm systems.

And this will be your opportunity to thoroughly inspect the property for any possible snagging issues. We won’t rush you here though – you can take as long as you want to notify our dedicated Snagging Team of any issues that require rectifying. Even though we have handed you the keys, we are still there for you, and always just a phone call away.

Each of our homes is built to the very latest energy efficiency standards, regardless of size or value. We not only meet, but regularly exceed industry standards set with regards to insulation values, SAP calculations and air testing in our homes – critical measures to keeping the warm air in and cold air out.

But we pride ourselves in regularly exceeding these industry standards, supplying our homes with additional energy efficiency features such as mechanical positive air input systems, hot water recovery systems, waste water heat recovery systems, and fitted low energy appliances. And for those clients that want to take energy savings a step further, we can also install additional systems such as solar panels, ground source heat pumps, and greywater recycling systems.

Reducing the impact our business and homes have on our planet is key to the environment and the future of our industry. In recognition of this, we strive to build sustainability in to all stages of our projects. Wherever possible, we design and create sustainable schemes that will support and maintain our customers for the future. We will always try to ensure our schemes harmonise and support the local wildlife and vegetation as much as is practically possible.

During demolition, we will always try to retain, reclaim and recycle as much material as possible to reuse within the site’s infrastructure. Our drainage and road systems are designed to mitigate the impact we have on existing water courses. Meanwhile, during the construction phase we use local suppliers and trades to minimise delivery miles while supporting local business. We also aim to ensure that all our products are sustainably sourced, and we install onsite recycling schemes to encourage our employees and contractors to recycle all waste materials as efficiently and effectively as possible.
